Code of Ethics

As a registered member with the International Watch Fob Association, and/or the Canadian Association of Watch Fob Collectors, I do approve and will adhere to the following code of ethics.

I will not knowingly sell, trade, or distribute, a reproduction, a Re-strike, or a fake watch fob, or fobs, without identifying the item, or items, as a reproduction, a re-strike, or a fake fob, to the prospective owner.

In the event of unknowingly, or unintentionally, selling, trading, or distributing a reproduction, restrike, or fake fob, I will accept the return of the item, or items, and refund all cost to the other party, or return a traded item, or items, to the owner.

In the event of a dispute, as to the authenticity of the fob or fobs, I agree to submit the item, or items to a panel of experts, as appointed by the officers of the I.W.F.A.I., for a binding ruling as to the authenticity of the fob or fobs.

As a member, I accept the mail costs, both to and from the other party, and to and from the I.W.F.A.I. panel. Should the fob be found to be not a reproduction the cost of all mailing will then be the responsibility of the other party.

As a member, I will respect the right of the other party to submit a fob, or fobs, to the I.W.F.A.I. panel for authentication.

 

In return for accepting this Code Of Ethics, I will be registered with the clubs, as mentioned in item 1, and will be allowed to use the following notation on all correspondence, both conventional and electronic.
